Skye/Overton Road, Frankston

Level crossings at Skye Road with boom gates down and train crossing

The contract to remove the dangerous and congested level crossing at Skye/Overton Road has been awarded to joint venture John Holland/KBR. Construction will start by mid-2017, and the level crossing will be removed by mid-2018.

We have been engaging with the local community since late 2015 and have held community information sessions and presentations, door knocked residents and traders, and engaged with the community online.

You can stay up-to-date with the project and its progress on this portal – and we continue to encourage you to sign up for email updates and use our Ask Us tool for questions about the project.

Early construction work will get underway within weeks, including site establishment and the opening of our Info and Jobs Hub.
